SUMMERY:
For this next tutorial I'm going to show you how to get a clean reverb for your snare tracks without all the other junk that normally gets thrown in there. You can use a mono if you like but I like my snare reverbs to be wide.
Make sure you set it to Pre Fader.
Before you insert your favorite Reverb plugin we are going to insert a Gate plug-in first. I'm going to go ahead and use my C1 Gate.
Check out the Screen:

Solo the Aux track (As it's in pre fader) and just like in my "How to use a Gate Tutorial" we want to first set the release to be very fast. Next use your threshold to find the spot where only the snare is triggering it. Let's get rid of all the crap in there like Hi hats etc. Sometimes you can't get rid of all of it but if it was recorded and performed well we usually can. Either way it's going to clean up much better.
After you have adjusted your threshold and found the best sweet spot we can go ahead and insert your favorite plugin to be next in the chain. Take a listen now and you should be pretty happy with the results. Now all you got to do is just blend your reverb track with the rest of your drums and mix away.
